Huawei has increased its revenue by 22%.

Huawei’s 2024 revenue was the second-highest in history, after its highest ever revenue of 891 billion yuan in 2020.

The world’s largest telecommunications equipment supplier Huawei Technologies recorded revenue of more than 860 billion yuan (US$118.3 billion) in 2024, up 22% from 2023, the company’s chairman Howard Lianghua said, according to the South China Morning Post.

He said the company’s “overall performance met expectations” in 2024, driven by growth in its consumer business, which includes smartphones and wearables, as well as “smart car solutions operations that developed rapidly.”

It is noted that the 2024 revenue was the second largest for Huawei in history, and the highest ever was 891 billion yuan in 2020. This came after the US first imposed sanctions on the company’s profitable mobile phones and international operations.

Huawei’s 2024 revenue is a steady increase of 22% year-on-year compared to 704.2 billion yuan recorded in 2023.

It was previously reported that Chinese technology corporation Huawei is completing the construction of a large-scale chip research and development center in the city of Shanghai.
